Matsu has a very clean modern Japanese vibe. The young gentleman who waited on us was very friendly and the service was fast. The sushi was fresh and had great flavor. I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!
Lovely food. Eaten here frequently throughout the year. Atmosphere could be improved if more people dined in the restaurant building. Good selection of wine. Friendly staff.

If you are in the area and feel like sushi, this is the place to go. I ordered a take-out for eight people last night and it was the first time that I went to Matsu Sushi. I ordered six nigiri (8 pieces), hosomaki (salmon, kappa, tekka), futomaki chef special, and three kinds of uramaki. Coming from Japan, I am not used to eating sushi with cream cheese, so I opted for the most traditional kinds of sushi. I asked the futomaki to be traditional. Did they live up to my expectation? YES! After opening the five boxes on the dinner table at my in-laws, I was first struck about the size of the nigiri. It was the right size —not too big, not too small, elegantly presented. The futomaki was also so good. Hosomaki was perfect. I usually keep my expectation in check when I go to sushi outside of Japan unless I am in a major city like New York, but Matsu Sushi was wonderful. I am looking forward to dining there when I return next time. Thank you.Absolutely love the food here. So exciting to get great sushi. Barbara makes the whole thing an incredible experience. She recommends great wines and just spends time chatting to you. She's amazing! Also Pedro is a young lad who is also very sweet! Very happy to help and converse. I go here for great food ultimately and Barbara just makes the whole thing come together! Thank you!

This is probably the best sushi that you can find around . And when I say the best I am not exaggerating . Super fresh fish and great experience . I wouldn’t bother to try to find anything else if you love fish . This is THE place .
We were a group of 8ppl. May.11.2024. Service was great. The sushi was excellent. We ordered all types of sushi. Not one was bad. Fresh and excellent ttasting! If we go back to Portugal we will make sure go go back to this restaurant.

We got suggested to taste the Suzuki Uramaki roll, which is made with a local fish, and it’s a must try for me. Above that we enjoyed great advice for a lovely white wine from the area.
We made our reservation via google chat and we got an answer within 5 min, especially as a tourist that was super helpful.
We liked it that much, we came here 3 times in one week.

This hidden jem is not to be missed. After a day on the beach or fighting for space in Sintra you owe it to yourself to check out this refreshingly new beach vibe spot. Some of the freshest sushi I have ever had. Wow

Really enjoyed our evening here eating a great selection of carefully prepared and very reasonable sushi. Massive wine selection and friendly engaged service from everyone at Matsu. Relaxed and pared back place with a really nice vibe

Delicious sushi, very reasonably priced and great staff. This area is a must to visit if you're in the locality. Such a great vibe and relaxed atmosphere.

The food here is so delicious and fresh. We kept coming back. Both the inside and outside are comfortable for eating in- they also do takeaway. The service was very helpful and friendly every time.
